Matthias Booth

Matthias Booth lives in Hillsburgh, Ontario.  He is a grade 9 student and loves art.  Art is a way for him to escape, visit new worlds, and create new and unique creatures.  He has a vast imagination, and enjoys showing this through his art.  His favourite things to draw are creatures and sci-fi, and his favourite mediums are graphite and colored pencils, but he also enioys watercolour, pastel, and pen and ink.  He started taking art classes with Ricky at Age 6 and has grown and learned so much with him in the last 9 years.  He loves how Ricky encourages and supports his ideas and helps to teach him how to make these ideas come to reality on paper.  Matthias also enjoys running, watching horror movies and reading/listen to pod casts.  Star Wars is his newest obsession and prior to that he loved and still loves anything Godzilla.   

From Ricky: Matthias has an incredibly positive attitude in the art studio and always reflects positively on his peers' work.  Having worked with him for so many years, it has been so amazing to see him grow and flourish as an artist.  Not only does he create art in my classes, he is constantly making art at home, refining his skills and following his inspiration.  I take great pride in what I do and students like Matthias make what I do incredibly rewarding.  Thank you Matthias for letting me be such a big part of your creative journey and I can't wait to see what you create next, and what your life has in store for you!
