This painting is my prayer for the protection of the people of many colours. For the protection of the marginalized, the queer, the immigrants, the indigenous, the people of colour. Climb aboard this sacred vessel and be shielded from the hate. May we find solace in one another and the strength to stand against our oppressors. Our many hued wings are the key to the freedom they seek to strip from us, but we will not be silenced. We in our uniqueness are, in fact, the divine manifestation of the very cosmic beauty they claim to worship, that which they call God. All are welcome in this realm of light and love, a realm which we have been tasked to usher into existence. Keep fighting. I love you.
