Drawing with Ricky: Animals in Graphite: In this 7-week drawing series (graphite) we are drawing a wild variety of animals in high detail.  This program will be packed with full classes of drawing as we draw a variety of animals from photo references, learning how to accurately capture shapes and proportions, how to capture the impression of light and form, to create a variety of textures and so much more.  We will decide as a group which animal subjects to work on.  Students will create a variety of drawings with exciting and unique subject matter while learning lots of important fundamental concepts and theory.  Students will also have the opportunity to create their own self directed drawings with a subject of their own choosing in the last 2 classes with 1 on 1 help from Ricky.

Every student will need:

A Sketchbook 8x10 or 9x12, the higher quality paper the better.
Sketching pencil set (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B.  Most pencil sets you buy in an art store will have a good range of pencils so as long as you have some light pencils 2H, 4H and some dark pencils like 2B and 6B you’ll be good!)
Kneadable Eraser
Rubber Eraser
Pencil Sharpener
Paper Blending Stump
