'Create Your Own Mask' March Break Art Class with Ricky!

This is a 2-part project taking place over two afternoons in the studio!

Ages: 6-13
Dates: Tuesday March 11 & Wednesday March 12, 2025.
Time: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM each day.

Students Ages 6-13! This is a 2-part project.  In part 1, students will decide a concept for their mask and start with a concept sketch.  They could make an animal mask, a creature or character mask, whatever they want; the only limit is their imagination.  We will use a cardboard mask as a foundation and build on it with cardboard, cardstock, and tape.  Finally, students will coat their mask with plaster gauze.  The masks will be left to dry and harden overnight.

In part 2, students will use acrylic paints, pom poms, googly eyes, feathers, and a variety of other materials and decorative objects to bring their mask to life!
