Drawing explorers is a class for young artists focusing on using graphite, oil pastel, watercolour crayon, coloured pencil and marker. Each class students will create a new art project which has structure during the drawing phase, but then allows them to be creative, have fun, and explore their unique identity through art as they choose how to bring their drawing to life, whether it be colouring with marker and coloured pencil, graphite shading, oil pastel, or watercolour crayon. This program will help build confidence, motor skills, and social skills. Students will reflect positively on their art and engage in discussions with the class about their work. This course is led by a professional artist instructor who is attentive to every student and always encourages their uniqueness and creativity, while teaching important art concepts and techniques.
