Expressive Portraits Workshop for Kids and Adults!  Students create a colourful and expressive portrait painting in the studio with Ricky. 

This can be a self portrait, a portrait of a loved one, pet, favourite character--whatever you want!  Ricky takes your reference photograph, uses an app to break it into shapes of colour, and then traces the image on your canvas and sets it up like a 'Paint by Numbers' for you.  This way there is no need to worry about the drawing and you can start painting as soon as you arrive at the studio.  Students get to choose their own custom colour scheme and use acrylic paints to bring the portrait to life.  Students may also choose to add designs, patterns, symbols, words, or anything else they want to make their portrait a unique creative expression.  Ricky will come around and touch up the eyes/nose/mouth to ensure a likeness in the portrait.  

This workshop is perfect for students of all ages 8+.  Students must bring a school safe lunch and snacks, a water bottle, and wear clothes that they are allowed to get art materials on.
