Materials: Students must have their own drawing kit for this class.

Drawing with Ricky: Light & Form: In this 6-week drawing series (graphite) we are focusing on our understanding of light and form.  This program will include a variety of exercises, quick drawings, still life drawings, and longer drawings from reference.  We will look at basic forms and their interaction with light, as well as a variety of materials for example metallics, glass, faceted gemstones, various textures like bark, stone, and more.  Students will create a variety of drawings with exciting and unique subject matter while learning lots of important fundamental concepts and theory.  

Every student will need:

A Sketchbook 8x10 or 9x12, the higher quality paper the better.
Sketching pencil set (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B.  Most pencil sets you buy in an art store will have a good range of pencils so as long as you have some light pencils 2H, 4H and some dark pencils like 2B and 6B you’ll be good!)
Kneadable Eraser
Rubber Eraser
Pencil Sharpener
Paper Blending Stump

Optional Items: (these items aren’t required but they are useful and a great addition to your materials kit!)
