Materials: All students will be provided with sculpting and painting supplies for this class.  Each student will receive a pre-set amount of clay but may choose to purchase additional clay if they wish to make a larger sculpture.

Sculpting with Ricky: Air Dry & Polymer Clay Creations: In this 4-week program we will be creating sculptures with air dry clay and polymer clay.  We will learn about the entire sculpting process from start to finish including concept sketching from a reference photo, building armatures, sculpting with clay, adding details and texture, smoothing and finishing, as well as bringing our sculptures to life by painting with acrylic paints.  For our first sculpture we will all sculpt the same subject (unless a student wants to create something different, this would be allowed but would present a greater degree of difficulty for the student.  It is definitely doable).  For our second sculpture students will use polymer clay (oven bake) to create smaller scale sculptures where each student will have the freedom to choose their own subjects.  Students will learn how to create stable 3D forms, build around an armature, capture lifelike proportions and textures, and so much more!  Each student will come out with at least two awesome finished sculptures at the end of this course.
